Oh Hummus, how I love thee.
Let me count the ways.
You taste good on everything. You’re full of protein and healthy fats. You’re creamy and satiating. You take no time to prepare. You last forever in the fridge. You take veggie sandwiches to the next level. You’re delicious straight off a spoon. You come in all kinds of flavors. And on and on and on…
If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, then you already know that I’ve posted my fair share of hummus recipes. I just can’t stop! With the littlest tweaks, you can end up with completely different variations. I love switching up the spices, beans, or even adding in vegetables for volume, flavor and color. I’ve even made a sweet version using cocoa powder and maple syrup.
Hummus really does taste good with everything. I love it on toast with some sliced tomato, cracked black pepper, chili flakes and a pinch of salt. I love it dolloped on my salads for extra creaminess and staying power. I love it with raw veggies. I love it on top of steamed rice. I love it with crackers or pretzels. I love it as a spread for sandwiches. Well, you get the picture…I love hummus!
