Helloooooo!
Even though I’ve been posting here a couple times a week, I feel like I haven’t properly blogged in ages. That’s mainly because I haven’t been producing as many recipe posts as usual, due to how how much time I’ve been spending working on my eBook…which is now live! While I can’t wait to get back to posting more weekly recipes, that will still have to wait until next week because today I’m sharing a foodie gift guide!
I know I’m not the only one who loves specialty foods and kitchen items, so this gift guide is for those like me; a.k.a. the foodie friend in your life. The items I chose for this guide are ones that I already own or plan to buy once we have a house of our own (we’re currently in the process of moving)!
There are so many fun foodie items to choose from, so I tried to narrow it down to items that I’ve personally found useful or know that I would love. In addition to practicality, I also wanted these foodie items to be special. I hope this short list helps you with your holiday preparations!
1. Reusable Produce Bags || 2. Almond Cow Nut Milk Machine || 3. Jem Organics Nut Butter || 4. Donut Pan || 5. Glass Straws || 6. Silicone Muffin Cups || 7. Mandoline Slicer || 8. Georgia Grinder’s Nut Butter || 9. My eBook “Plant Biased” || 10. Spiralizer || 11. Nespresso Milk Frother || 12. Gift Card
1. Reusable Produce Bags:
For any of your foodie friends that are trying to cut down on their plastic use, these reusable produce bags are the perfect gift. I love mine and use them weekly whenever I go to my local grocery store or farmer’s market. They are lightweight and can fit into whatever bag you’re using easily.
2. Almond Cow Nut Milk Machine
I can’t wait to purchase one of these once we get settled down. I absolutely loved my Soy Milk Maker during our time in China, but I love that the Almond Cow makes nut milk in 30 seconds! I also love that you don’t have to use a nut milk bag to strain the milk, but instead it’s ready to drink as soon as the machine has completed the blending process.
3. Jem Organics Nut Butter
Jem Organics Nut Butter is perfect for any of your nut butter loving friends. It’s more expensive than what you’d find at a local grocery store, but it’s worth it! They have amazing flavors like Cinnamon Maca Almond Butter, Chocolate Hazelnut Butter and Cashew Cardamom Almond Butter…which tastes like frosting! Your nut butter loving friends will die for this stuff!
4. Donut Pan
We all love donuts, but we know eating fried donuts everyday might not make us feel our best. I love having a donut pan on hand to make baked donuts (such as this vegan baked pumpkin donuts recipe) and I’m sure your foodie friends will have so much fun whipping up different flavored donuts with this gift!
5. Glass Straws
Glass straws are a fun, simple gift to give to your foodie friends. They cut down on plastic use and make whatever you’re drinking taste 100x better!
6. Silicone Muffin Cups
I use my silicone muffin cups all the time. I love that they keep my muffins from sticking to the pan, making clean up that much easier. These cups are also great for any of your friends who try to bake and cook without oil!
7. Mandoline Slicer
I’ve wanted a mandoline slicer for ages, but have still never purchased one for myself. This slicer would be amazing for making homemade baked chips, ratatouille and countless other veggie dishes
8. Georgia Grinder’s Nut Butter
You guys know I had to include two brands of nut butter in this post. I just love nut butter so much and have found some amazing companies that make it so well. Georgia Grinders is one of those companies and I’m particularly obsessed with their pecan butter. It’s a must buy for your foodie friends!
9. My eBook “Plant Biased: A Beginner’s Guide to Eating a More Plant Based Diet”
If you have any friends who are considering ways to incorporate more plant-based meals into their diet, my eBook “Plant Biased” would be the perfect gift for them. It contains all the information I wish I knew when I first switched to a plant-based diet as well as over 80 delicious recipes to inspire your friends in the kitchen!
10. Spiralizer
I love having a spiralizer on hand for when I want to make zucchini noodles or add fun texture to my salads. A spiralizer is also perfect for making curly fries!
11. Nespresso Milk Frother
I don’t own a Nespresso Milk Frother, but I’ve used one at different friends’ houses and it is amazing. It creates different levels of frothiness and allows you to choose whether you want the milk hot or cold. I’m definitely getting one of these once I have my own kitchen. Give me all the homemade lattes!
12. Gift Card to a specialty grocery store
While some people think gift cards are impersonal gifts, I personally love receiving them. They allow me to be flexible and spontaneous with what I purchase and encourage me to buy things I normally wouldn’t buy for myself. A gift card to a grocery store such as Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods would be an awesome gift for your foodie friend!
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season! I’m so thankful to be able to celebrate Christmas with my parents and for Harper to have her first Christmas in beautiful Ireland!
