I rarely vary my breakfasts.
No really. I think I’ve been switching off between hot oatmeal, cereal, and overnight oats for the past year. And as for Savory breakfasts…yeah, they rarely cross my mind.
But something came over me this past week and I felt the urge to add more variety to my first meal of the day. So today instead of sharing a full day of meals, I’m going to share with you the 7 different breakfasts I ate this past week.
One reason I think I never varied my breakfast in the past was because I felt like I wouldn’t be satisfied if I ate anything other than oatmeal. This week, however, proved me otherwise! I also found that I enjoyed getting to be more creative and putting different nutrients in my system first thing in the morning felt good. I even ate some sautéed zucchini one day!
Most of the pictures are poorly lit considering my new, early morning schedule, and I apologize for that. But the pictures that look somewhat decent are the recipes I hope to share in the near future so keep your eyes peeled!
I hope you get some inspiration for adding a little variety to your most important meal of the day!
2.) My favorite Avocado Toast: Two slices of toasted Ezekiel Bread with 1/2 smashed avocado, nutritional yeast, sea salt, and freshly ground black pepper.
3.) Fruit Salad with 1 kiwi, 1 orange and some strawberries along with a Whole Wheat Cinnamon Raisin English Muffin and Peanut Butter.
4.) Lemon Blueberry Pancakes with frozen blueberries and pure maple syrup.
6.) Healthy Cookie Dough Overnight Oats. Recipe coming soon!
7.) A roasted sweet potato, almond butter, granola and 1 kiwi. This was probably the weirdest breakfast of the week, but it was delicious! I would take a piece of sweet potato, dip it in the almond butter and then roll it in the granola! Strange, but good.
Well, there you have it! 7 different breakfasts. Tell me…
Do you vary your breakfasts throughout the week?
Do you enjoy sweet or savory breakfasts?
Do you ever skip breakfast?
