Ingredients

CRUMBLE TOPPING:

Instructions

  • Start by preheating your oven to 350 °F and set aside an 8x8 baking dish.
  • Place all of your peeled and chopped apples into a large sauce pan over medium-low heat. Add in the maple syrup and cinnamon and stir to combine. Cook the apples for about 10 minutes or until softened.
  • While the apples are cooking, prepare the crumble topping by mixing together in a large bowl the oats, ground nuts and cinnamon. Pour over the maple syrup and coconut oil and mix until combined.
  • Once the apples have softened, pour them into your baking dish and top them with the crumb mixture.
  • Place the baking dish into your oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes or until the top turns golden brown.
  • Serve warm with dairy-free ice cream or coconut whipped cream!

Notes

One thing you may need to verify when dealing with severe gluten allergies is that your oats are certified gluten-free (the ones I use and recommend are Bob's Red Mill gluten free oats). This is usually specified on the packaging!
