Crockpot Persimmon Applesauce Recipe
Who knew some cooked and mashed apples could taste so rich and sweet!? The persimmon adds a unique twist on this classic Crockpot Persimmon Applesauce Recipe.

- 6 medium apples I used Fuji
- 4 fuyu persimmons*
- Juice of one lemon
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- ½ cup water
Peel, core and thinly slice the apples and persimmons.
Place them in your crockpot and add in the lemon juice, vanilla extract and water. Cover your crockpot and set the temp to high. Let everything cook for 3-6 hours** (depending on the strength of your crockpot).
Once the cooking time is up, mash the fruit with a potato masher until your desired consistency.
Store in an airtight container in the fridge.
*If you don't have fuyu persimmons available nearby, you can just use two more apples.
**I say 3-6 hours, because the original recipe says 4-6 hours on high, but my crockpot is so powerful it only takes 3!
