flax egg
1 tablespoon ground flaxseed + 3 tablespoons water

Instructions
Preheat your oven to
350
°F
and grease doughnut pans with cooking spray.
Prepare your flax egg by whisking together 1 tablespoon of ground flaxseed with 3 tablespoons of water. Set aside to thicken.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and spices.
Add in the remaining ingredients, including your thickened flax egg and stir until combined.
Scoop the dough into a zip lock bag and cut the tip off. Pipe the dough into 12 doughnut rounds until about ¾ full.
Bake the doughnuts for about 15-17 minutes or until cooked through.
Remove from the oven and allow them to cool for about 5 minutes before removing the doughnuts and placing them on a metal rack to cool.
Once cooled, coat with powdered sugar.

Notes
Make sure the doughnuts are completely cool before coating in powdered sugar or it will simply soak in.
