I realized the other day that I don't crave sweets very much anymore. A year ago I never would have thought my taste buds would prefer savory things over sugar, but I guess things change! I grew up eating a huge bowl of ice cream every night before bed and now I'd rather munch on roasted veggies and air popped popcorn. Craziness. When I do crave something sweet, fruit is usually the perfect solution.
Here is a day of my savory eats from Monday! I'd love to know:
Do you have more of a sweet or savory tooth?
Has your palate changed over the years?
Breakfast: Oatmeal cooked in water with flaxseed, chia seeds and chopped up strawberries for natural sweetness. Topped with almond butter.
Lunch: A wrap made with a Homemade Whole Wheat Tortilla, hummus, roasted veggies and tahini. Plus an apple for "dessert."
Dinner: Butternut Squash and Mushroom Pot Pie! This recipe turned out really good. Can't wait to share it!
Snack: A night time snack of air popped popcorn.
