WIAW - What I Ate Wednesday
What does "WIAW" stand for?
"WIAW" stands for "What I Ate Wednesday."
What is "WIAW"?
"What I Ate Wednesday" is a weekly, food-focused, blogging social event where anyone with a blog can write a post documenting what they ate throughout the course of an entire day.
Who started "WIAW"?
"WIAW" was, I believe, started by Jenn from Peasandcrayons.com as a way to connect bloggers through their love of food. Jenn used to host an online "party" where people could link their blog posts to Jenn's weekly "WIAW" post as a way to connect and inspire other bloggers.
What's the point of "WIAW"?
"WIAW" isn't about comparison, but it's about celebrating different people, diets, recipes and cultures through food! By sharing what you eat in a day, you can let someone into an aspect of your life while giving them some fun recipe ideas for their week ahead.
How do you write a "WIAW" post?
To write a "WIAW" post you simply need to share everything you ate and drank in a day. Photos are always good too! Simply take photos of your meals, snacks and drinks, upload them to your blog post and include a description of what you ate so that others can gain inspiration!
When should you post a "WIAW" post?
"What I Ate Wednesday" posts should be posted on Wednesday, preferably in the morning. However the day of food that you share in your post doesn't have to be from a Wednesday, but instead you can showcase any day of the week you desire.
How can I join "WIAW"?
Jenn passed her hosting duties to Laura at Sprint2thetable.com. To join the party, you need to add your link to the link-up on Laura's WIAW post. Once Laura posts her WIAW post, the link party is only open for 24 hours, so join early. Otherwise try again the next week!
